Master of Science in Industrial and Applied Mathematics

The University of Grenoble (UG), through its excellence center (labex) Persyval­lab, launches a scholarship program for attracting exceptional candidates in the second year of one of its master’s degree related to the Persyval­lab disciplines: Computer Science, Control, Mathematics and Signal Processing.
This grant of €8,000 is intended to support excellent students whose income is insufficient to cover their fees and who wish to obtain a master’s degree from the University of Grenoble and then apply to a doctoral program within one of the laboratories associated with Persyval­lab. A maximum of 10 grants will be allocated for the 2015­-2016 academic year.

The program is open to students applying for the MSIAM international program in Applied Mathematics, which offers a large spectrum of courses, from scientific computation, statistics and big data analysis, to imaging, and computer graphics, with applications in physics, biology, engineering, finance, and environmental sciences among many others. The program recruits students of excellent academic standing, from any country. All courses are taught in English.

To apply to the MSIAM program, you must have successfully completed a 4­year Bachelor Degree or the first year of a Master’s program or of an equivalent qualification recognized by the University of Grenoble.

Academic standing: fellows must maintain full­time status in the Master’s program, and must be engaged in full­time coursework or research during the academic year (September 1 – June 30).

Tuition: a​s with any French University program, registration in the Industrial and Applied Mathematics Master 2 at Grenoble requires payment of a relatively modest registration fee which is revised annually by the French Minister of Education. Annual registration fees will be approximately 250 Euros. In addition to this registration fee, students are also required to subscribe to the national health insurance program, requiring a payment of around 200 Euros.
